Quarter-life crisis: There are just so many crossroads
Sunday, April 26, 2009
At early twenties, I feel very relieved that college life was over; that I immediately got a job right after graduation and part-time jobs on the side; and thankful to God that I'm financially independent from my parents.
However, it doesn't end there.
There are plans for future schooling, career change and marriage. These three aspects are intertwined that it's hard to separate one from the other.
I wanted to go law school and be a lawyer.
I couldn't.
I can take up a masters course but what will I take up?
I can't decide.
My boyfriend is based in a another country and in the next few years, we'll get married. Will I go, live and work with him in a foreign land?
I don't want to.
We're saving for a house and lot but where will we buy?
No one really knows what the future holds.
It's hard to say.
But people say, we should start building our tomorrow by doing the right decisions today.
It's hard to choose.
Let me just think them over again until I can see God's guidance and use my common sense.
