Reading buying guides of gaming consoles

Grandparents love to spoil their grandchildren.

I wish they wouldn't.

Just last month my nephew and niece asked for a Nintendo Wii because they had been part of the honors' list and were both "Best in Math" in school and as a reward, my mother readily said yes.

I'm never really a fan of video gaming consoles - I played a few times but I couldn't enjoy them just as much as other people do.

But young children these days love them and sometimes, we give in to their demands; especially if they're trying to redeem their rewards for being such good students. "It's summer vacation anyway", my mother reasoned.

Even if I don't agree with the idea of buying portable handheld gaming devices for children, here I am, reading Nintendo Wii buying guide - comparing prices at ShopWiki.co.uk and skimming over user reviews.

There's nothing wrong with Video Games anyway, as long as the use of such is regulated. They might even sharpen mental acuity because of the speed they develop while playing.

OK. They win.
