Online piano gets me hooked!

Tuesday, September 9, 2008

Wow, I don't write that often in my blog these days. I am sorry for that blogger friends... I might have not visited your blog too...

I could offer a lot of excuses...

  • I am starting to get bored
  • I don't have time to use my PC because my sister uses it all day
  • I have to focus when I work...
but I have to honor commitments I've made, so here I strike again... maybe not that often, but hey, I am trying!

Today, one of my Japanese friends was so happy to share to me a Japanese website. It's an online piano... and after my work shift, that's now... I tried it and it seems really interesting. I'd like to show it to you too! You might find it cool, as I was so enthralled to play it... You can use the mouse and the keyboards too... isn't it so nice? This makes me remember Ruel, a classmate who wrote a C++ program like this too.

Here's a snapshot....

Click on the picture to go to the site... Enjoy!

it's interesting. Will try to visit :)

how if you use coin to decide who's using the PC if both are present. Kinda Harvey Dent thing :)

I should try this one. I always wanted to play piano... =)

I've checked it out, It sounds like a real piano. I recorded something, some impromptu thingy. But what if we want to play chords, how do we do it? Anyway I haven't explored it to the fullest. By and by I will answer my own questions he he he

The voice also sounds like real humans singing he he he reminds me of an old software (Yamaha Vocaloid) I used way back that can really sing. You just write the music in the editor, put in the lyrics, adjust some things then let it sing. If you are good at it you will be able to produce a real-sounding female or male singer singing your own compositions or some covers. You can even have a choral group with it with different voices. Yamaha vocaloid is a wonder, made in japan eh :) I still have the CD installer in my old closet he he he install ko nga kung pwede sa Vista (mukhang hindi)

alam ko na, sa keyboard ka kukuha kung gusto mo ng chord, hindi sa mouse he he eh

@kuya ferz

oh, i'd like to try guitar guides too!

can you give me a link... sana may online guitar din

buying a real piano is expensive while buying a guitar is cheap...

@tigis

thanks for the suggestion, but my sister is more dominant while i'm more of the submissive type...

i think i will need to buy my own notebook

pchi said...

@cidy

me too!

we just couldn't afford it.. or my parents were not so sold in the idea that i will stick to it... because I get bored easily

pchi said...

@pastilan

yeah, i've tried recording too!

but I think there is not such thing as saving a file yet...

I got interested with the Yamaha vocaloid... hmmm...

i am not actually a musicial... i have poor ears...

my brother used to teach me guitar, voice and piano (with notes pa) but he was so impatient, I'd get so tense... so parang ayaw ko ng mag-aral

he's good 'cause he can play by oido

now, I am learning again... I'm training my ears, not just memorizing the chords, and I have found a site for ear training... whew!

pchi said...

i used to believe that music is only for the gifted...

now, I think because I get more mature...

it's something that can be learned if we really try and immerse ourselves into it!

Hello Pchi, very happy that you asked to exchange the links. I've put your link in my "international bloggers" blogroll :) Thx for visiting my blog. It's not much and I'm still learning to post in english. As you know in general filipinos have better english than indonesians :)

pchi said...

@tigis

I think blogging would be a good practice for you...

we also know that there's nobody who immediately became good when he's still learning

we all went through that process... keep on!

to learn guitar on your own try Guitar Pro 5, if you have it installed in your computer you can learn to write music or to play music by other musicians. There are thousands of Guitar Pro tablatures floating around in the internet. I was lucky to be able to download a collection of 2,300 + GutarPro tabs, I got it from Limewire so almost all the songs from almost all the bands you like are there, the tabs are accurate and complete with all the instruments. You will be able to study them visually also while hearing them. As of now I am polishing my playing ability of Joe Satriani's Always with Me, Always With You. I want to put all the feelings into my fingertips on it, I like that piece very much, it is quiet easy but difficult to really put the feeling into your playing. I learned the piece through Guitar Pro 5. Try it :)

You can have a studio in your computer. Try Cakewalk Sonar or Sony Acid Pro :)
